January Favourites

So here we are, already at the end of the first month of a brand new year! I have never written a 'favourites' post before but I thought it might be fun to document some of my favourite products that I have been using throughout the year.... and what a better time than January to start doing this!

I know people tend to stick to beauty or a certain category when it comes to these posts but I'm going to mix it up and pick five of my favourite *things* each month; whether it's food, drink, beauty or clothing related. I don't tend to buy much, especially for myself so let's see how long I can keep these posts going for!

Honestly, is it just me or has this month felt like the longest month e v e r?! It has dragged SO much although I think that payday being on like the 16th December might have had something to do with it! So many days, so many birthdays, actual C h r i s t m a s and not enough money... eh?!

Anyway, here are five things that I have been loving this month!

Taylors fruit teas

In an effort to cut back on drinking so much tea and coffee, I have swapped out a few of my daily hot drinks for fruit and herbal teas. I am currently obsessed with Taylors fruit teas which have been made in partnership with Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. These cleverly blended infusions are possibly the best fruit teas I have ever tried! Luckily, I became well stocked up at Christmas so I have enough to keep me going for a few months, at least! Thank goodness! My favourites are the mandarin & ginger, spiced apple and the rose lemonade although they are all absolutely yummy.

LOTD

January has seen a bit of a wardrobe refresh for me and I wanted to share a couple of my favourite bits that I picked up from LOTD this month. I'm trying to be more confident and creative in what I wear in 2018 so LOTD is the perfect place to find new styles and colours without breaking the bank.
I am such a fan of their knitwear and I am currently eyeing up their faux fur jackets which would be perfect for freezing cold gig nights.

I'm all for chunky knitwear, especially since it has been SO cold recently so I absolutely couldn't say no to this mustard turtle neck jumper. I love the eyelet details and that colour is so damn cheerful. I've been feeling so low with the cold, dark days so I'm all about bright colours at the moment to help cheer me up! You can't go wrong with mustard, I am literally obsessed with this colour!

Also, let's talk about these boots. Aren't they just gorgeous? I get out of the habit of wearing heels quite easily but I wanted something for nights out and these are just perfect. I love, love, love the block heel and the zips on both sides are such a nice touch. I can't wait to wear these beauties for many nights out in the future!

Ugg dressing gown

Back in December I won a Christmas giveaway that SOLETRADER were hosting over on twitter. I was over the moon because I am one of those people who never wins anything and the prize was an Ugg dressing gown, honestly the exact one that I had literally just been eyeing up to add to my birthday list! Such a funny and amazing coincidence!
The dressing gown arrived shortly after Christmas and oh my goodness, it's so warm and cosy that I have pretty much been living in it throughout January. It feels very *grown up* compared to the fluffy pink monstrosity I owned previously and honestly, I love it so much!

L'Occitane shea intensive hand balm

You all know I love my L'Occitane hand creams. I literally have them dotted around everywhere so I always have one handy.... my bedside table, in my bag, in the bathroom, etc, etc! I am obsessed. My hands get so dry, especially during the winter months so this stuff is my saviour.
I received this intensive hand balm for Christmas and I've only been using it a month or so but I can safely say that it is amazing. I use this last thing at night and honestly my hands would be a mess without it.... it's an absolute miracle worker!

Daffodils

Finally, not a product but something that I have been very much loving this month. Daffodils have started to creep into the shops and as they are my absolute favourite flowers, I have ensured that I always have some in the house this month to brighten up those cold, dark and dreary January days! Daffodils are a sure sign that spring, longer days and maybe a few blue skies are just around the corner and I can't get enough of them!

  1. Whilst there's nothing wrong with a garish dressing gown, that one is so gorgeous! Congrats on the win!

I see you've posted the rose lemonade tea in the past - I gotta try it!

You look beyond amazing in those photos, and your pins in those boots are something else!

The daffs are so pretty; I'm excited to get some in for St. David's Day!

Looking forward to more of these posts! xxx
