Review // Nursery Rhymes 123 - Counting Songs

Music is something that Miss E has always very much responded to, pretty much since day one. And because of this, we've made a point of exposing her to as many different genres as soon as we could. From children's music to Disney to classical music and also all the stuff that we like to listen to.... we really don't leave anything out! I'm a firm believer in the benefits of listening to music, even from an early age, so I'm always on the lookout for new albums that Miss E can listen to.

Last year we were very kindly sent a copy of Lullaby Baby by Nursery Rhymes 123 (you can read that review here) and as this album has become a firm favourite when it comes to quiet time and at bedtime, I was thrilled to hear that a new album called "Counting Songs" had recently been released by the same singer, Martha Bean.

Counting Songs is a compilation of some of our favourite children's song that all have a common theme.... numbers. There's everything from One, Two, Buckle My Shoe to Five Little Monkeys and This Old Man. Listening to music can really help retain new information and enhance learning and so these songs are just perfect for Miss E who is currently obsessed with learning to count. She's very much like her daddy, she just loves her numbers!

The thing we love about these albums is that they are sung so beautifully and are super relaxing to listen to, perfect for the evenings or even during car journeys. Very listenable for parents too which is always a bonus (or more of a necessity for me, I won't lie!).

Once again, the album progresses to instrumental versions half way through the album. We love a bit of a sing-along in our house and so having the instrumental too element is super.

This album has become an instant hit in our house, it gets a big thumbs up from us!

Counting Songs is available on iTunes, Spotify and Google Play. You can also find out more about Nursery Rhymes 123 by visiting their beautiful website or facebook page.

I was sent this product in exchange for an honest review. As always, all words are my own!
