When you have energy you don’t think about it. When you lose energy, you get frustrated. Work, family commitments, weekends out, children and stress can all deplete us of energy. When our body functions normally, we take it for granted. An article on tells us that natural supplements can help boost our energy levels. Drinking more water, eating more protein and getting in eight hours of sleep can also make us feel more energised. This is one unsung hero we really need to take care of.

Your Mum

She looked after you were young. She nursed you, kept you safe and made life fun throughout your childhood. As you reached adulthood, she became your best friend and confidante. If you are lucky enough to have a great mum, it’s time to lavish the thanks. If you’ve lost your mum, keep her memory alive by reminding yourself how she shaped your life for the better.

A journal

Children often keep secret diaries when they are young. But as adults, it’s something we forget to do. Often the excuse is that we don’t have time. But keeping a journal has surprising health benefits. It extends our vocabulary. It helps create mindfulness. It’s a great way to write down goals we want to achieve and motivates us to stick to them. It can help with creativity. It’s a brilliant way to express our feelings and promote healing. The journal is an often-overlooked unsung hero. Buy a beautiful journal and get those creative juices flowing.

The perfect white t-shirt

It sounds simple, but it’s not always easy to find. You want something form-fitting but casual. You need a soft fabric. You want to pair it with jeans but also skirts. You may want to buy a scoop neck, high neck or a v-neck. A short sleeve works better than a cap sleeve. When you find one you love, buy three! A white t-shirt is crucial to a capsule wardrobe and critical when you can’t find anything to wear. It’s a hero piece.
