Our second day in Blackpool was so much fun! We woke up feeling refreshed after a great nights sleep and devoured the most amazing breakfast at our hotel. There's nothing like breakfast at the Big Blue Hotel, it's my favourite.
We were up and ready early so we decided to make the most of the hotel guest VIP entrance into the Pleasure Beach which is situated right next to the hotel. No queuing for us!
I love the Pleasure Beach so much, it's my absolute favourite theme park (more than Disney, it's true!). My favourite rides are Valhalla, the Alice ride and the Big Dipper.... there really is something for everyone and now we have kiddo, we love spending time in Nickelodeon Land too.
Dora's World Voyage is a firm favourite with Miss E. The ride is a very Small World-esque peaceful boat ride with Dora the Explorer that visits various 'countries' teaching you how to say "hello" in different languages along the way! It's one of those that she wants to ride again and again and honestly, I don't think she would get bored of it if she did just that!
We stopped by Alice in Wonderland to take some photos on the bench as we always do, toured the park via the Pleasure Beach Express (the train that went past our hotel room window!) and tried, but failed at going on the Alice ride (it broke down just as we joined the queue!). Even though we only had a few hours though, we managed to cram in so many rides!
After lunch, it was time to head to the Blackpool Tower Circus... always the highlight of our trips for me. Miss E is now at an age that she can actually sit through and enjoy shows, movies, things like that so I was looking forwards to seeing how this circus visit would go!
This year marks the 25th year for the Endresz family at the helm of the circus and can I just say, this years show is absolutely a m a z i n g. I don't want to spoil it if you're off to see it but I must say I loved the video clips at the start of the show, the acts were all outstanding, Mooky & Mr Boo were on top form and the water finale was beyond stunning!
Miss E took full advantage of everything on offer; hopping down into the circus ring to get her face painted during the interval, buying a light-up wand, getting her photo taken and eating all the popcorn. She had the best time and hasn't stopped talking about it since!
After a busy afternoon we headed back to the hotel for a rest before we ventured out again to find something to eat. We settled on South Shore Pizza Hut.... simply because you can't go wrong with Pizza Hut, it's one of my favourites! We shared an absolutely humongous pizza whilst sipping on cocktails (yes, they do cocktails now!) and Miss E enjoyed a kid's meal complete with all the chocolate ice cream she could possibly eat.
The rest of our evening was spent out walking in the fresh air before heading back to the hotel after such a fun day, Miss E was super tired and was ready for bed!
