If you logged onto twitter at all today then you might have noticed #TwitterTeaParty trending in the UK around midday alongside lots of cake talk, washed down with plenty of tea! If you're not sure what all the fuss was about, the #TwitterTeaParty was set up by the lovely folk at The Co-Operative Food for social communities to discuss and share their top ideas for epic Mother's Day tea parties.
Now, I don't need much persuading when it comes to mentions of tea, cake or parties so imagine my delight when a box arrived at our door the other day from The Co-Operative Food containing everything needed for a wonderful tea party! Tea, cake, prosecco and much more.... Definitely my kinda thing! A generous and unexpected gesture which was equally such a treat and very much appreciated!
Whilst dipping in and out of the conversation over on Twitter, I also took the opportunity to set up a little tea party for Miss E and I so that we could sample the delicious looking rose cake! I dug out some of the best china, Miss E helped make the tea, we lit some candles and popped the Alice in Wonderland DVD on (Miss E loves the Mad Hatters tea party!). As much as I love getting out and about, I also love doing things like this.... just Miss E and I!
