A little Sunday round-up, some of the little things that I've been loving this week!
A very special birthday
December is a crazy busy month for birthdays round here! This week my wonderful husband turned 30 years old and we've had a lovely time celebrating with meals out and seeing people and lots of lovely things like that! Last night I took him for a birthday night out to see one of our favourite bands in Leeds. It was beyond incredible. It's been an emotional week, for sure!
As mentioned above, last night we had a super special time in Leeds last night. A few years ago I got my hands on a copy of Opus Eponymous during the week of it's release and instantly fell madly in love with Ghost, a band who would very soon become a firm favourite of mine.
We've had opportunity to see them live on a few occasions before but illness and work had got in the way so when I saw they were heading back to the UK, I didn't hesitate in booking tickets and keeping the event as a surprise for Ben's birthday!
& my goodness, they were worth the wait. They were magical, everything I could have hoped for and more. I have so, so much love and respect for them (& even more so after they carried on despite Papa fainting part of the way through the show). It was such an incredible night and I hope it isn't long until we see them again!
Fun in the park
Sometimes, the little things can seem like really biggest things! Miss E absolutely loves going to the park but has always been terrified of the swings. Even the very mention of them sends her into a meltdown so imagine my surprise this week when she walked over to them in an empty playground and said "up mummy, baby go on swings!". Her smile in this photo says it all, she couldn't believe how much she loved it!
I picked up this lipstick recently in Boots whilst stocking up on a few bits and I blummin' love it! I usually stay away from darker shades because I'm no good with makeup but this one seems really moisturising and easy to wear!
We're super lucky to have places like this nearby to visit. This week we had a lovely morning feeding alpacas, reindeer, ponies and more. We saw baby meerkats, tiny mice and got chased by an enthusiastic turkey! I'm considering buying a year pass as Miss E loves visiting and seeing all the animals.
What have you been loving this week? Let me know in a comment!
