  15. I love decorating the tree and the house. We use fresh greenery from our garden (yew, ivy, etc.) to make decorations to go up the banisters and also to make table decorations and swags to hang on top of pictures and mirrors. I have lots of ribbons in red and gold that I use to add colour to the greenery. I also have a large bag of pine cones that I have amassed over the years. They are of varying sizes and shapes, from different types of trees and collected not just from gardens of houses we've lived in but from parks and country walks. Some are painted or have glitter added by my kids when they were small. We arrange these on plates with Xmas candles and they really add a festive touch.
