'Messy Me' High Chair Cushion // Review

Hands down, one of the best baby products we have purchased is the Stokke Tripp Trapp. A bit of an investment but at two years old, Miss E still uses it and will continue to do so for many years as the chair adapts and grows with your child.

We've used various covers for the Tripp Trapp to make eating a more comfortable experience but I've never been keen on using them. The Stokke ones come in limited colours and are made from a ridiculous fabric.... anything that means additional washing is a no-no in my book!
A little while ago though, we were kindly offered the chance to try out a high chair cushion set* from Messy Me, a British company based in Farnham who specialise in all kinds of products to keep mess and cleaning up to a minimum!

The high chair cushions are made from beautifully soft oilcloth and come in a variety of designs including a rather gorgeous vintage floral. The website has a handy "Will it fit my high chair?" guide with details of all the products the high chair covers have been tested against so you can make sure it fits before you make a purchase.

After much deliberation, I opted for the olive grey star print design for the Tripp Trapp which is just as lovely in real life as it is on the website!

The two part set is very easy to fit to the chair. Within a few seconds, I had it on and ready to use! It fastens with a combination of buckles and velcro and there's no need to remove any parts of the chair to attach it. Once it's on, the set provides a padded comfortable cushion and back rest for your child.

We've been using the set a little while now and i'm really impressed with how lovely it looks and how easy it is to clean. The fabric is fully wipeable and seems to be resistant to most stains. We've had every kind of meal using it, from curry to spaghetti bolognese..... it's passed every test so far! We also use the chair when we do crafts, playdoh and painting and we've had no problems with it. Anything that falls onto the oilcloth is easily cleaned off with a warm cloth and soapy water.

There's no denying that weaning and feeding small children is a ridiculously messy but fun experience. I really wish we'd come across these cushions at the start of our feeding journey as not only do they look lovely, they make mealtimes more comfortable and enjoyable too!

Messy Me sell a whole range of coordinating products including bibs, tunics, messy mats and tablecloths which are all made from the same fabric. Why not pop over to their website and take a look?

* I was sent this product to review but all words are my own

  1. This is exactly what my friend has for her little boy and she loves it! I'm glad it was a worthwhile investment x

  2. Oh this looks like a perfect idea. I might buy one for Leo as we sure could use it.

  3. Nice and very helpful information i have got from your post. Even your whole blog is full of interesting information which is the great sign of a great blogger. find more info

  4. There are many domestic chair dealers and distributors who have nothing to do with actually producing/manufacturing of worship

  5. There are three sorts of froth to consider when purchasing a cushion; convoluted (egg-box), standard and memory (visco-versatile) froth. Flame Retardant Fitted Sheet
