Our Weekend // Matlock Bath

Last weekend we took a trip to Matlock Bath which is one of our favourite places in Derbyshire. Amazingly, this is the first time we have been since Miss E was born (although we've driven through it plenty of times!).
It's an incredibly touristy place and there's always heaps to do and lots to see. My absolute favourite time to visit is during the autumn for their 'Venetian nights' which are complete with illuminated river boats and spectacular firework displays from the cliff tops. Always popular but worth braving the crowds!

During our visit this time we kept things simple and pottered by the river, ate fish and chips, visited some museums and enjoyed a visit to the aquarium. I'm always elated to see restaurants and attractions that allow dogs in too. I'm certain that Elsie enjoyed seeing the fish at the aquarium just as much as Miss E did!
