Fathers Day Gift Idea // Connected Generation T-Shirts

Seriously, how is it June already?! It only feels like two minutes since Christmas and now we are half way through the year. Time goes so quickly! Fathers Day is now rapidly approaching so it's time to start searching for the perfect gift for dad.

I'm a real fan of gifts that have a personal touch and recently I came across Connected Generation who have the most genius gift idea for Fathers Day that even the youngest of children could be involved in creating. A UK-based social enterprise, Connected Generation produce high quality custom t-shirts and for every t-shirt sold, £5 goes to a specific children's charity project of your choice.

They recently released the video below which shows how you can utilise their service to create a really special gift for fathers day. Basically the idea is to have some tremendous fun creating a design with your little one then it's just a case of taking a photo of it (or scanning it) and sending it to the website before purchasing it and waiting for it in the post! Really super easy!

Attention creative mums! If you'd like to easily make a Father’s Day present that is personalised from you (and the kids), then try an ethical t-shirt from www.ConnectedGeneration.org.It’s simple: take a pic on your phone of your creation, email to MakeIt@ConnectedGeneration.org, and we will print it on to a superfine t-shirt for you to buy. Not only will you give a great gift that he will love, but you will fund and be connected to one of our children’s charity projects where a less fortunate child will benefit too.

As you add your item to the cart, you'll see the option for which inspiring charity story to support. There are summaries of each project detailing what they are doing and what they are hoping to achieve.
Reading through the stories on the website is so inspiring and the projects are so incredibly varied. From raising money for a much needed computer at an Urban Academy in Bristol to raising a sum of £625 to implement a food forest that would benefit secondary school students in a remote region of Tanzania.

The magic doesn't end at choosing a charity project to support through your purchase though. Connected Generation are committed to keeping to connected to your chosen project ensuring you see the difference that your support makes. I really do think it is a lovely idea and how thoughtful to receive a gift that keeps on giving!

Of course, if you're running out of time to create a design with your little one there are also the options of either selecting a t-shirt design from their existing range or letting dad choose himself by giving him an eGift card so that he can pick or design one himself!

Super Star Dad - I love this design!

All of the t-shirts are priced at £25 (even custom ones!) which I think is a hugely reasonable price for an ethically sourced and high quality product.

Connected Generation make the art of gift giving more personal and rewarding whilst helping children who are less fortunate .... Why not give it a go this Fathers Day?
