#TheCityGirls // The Goody Bag

In the weeks leading up to The City Girls event, there was a lot of talk over on twitter about the goody bags. Sneak peaks on instagram got me really excited and I couldn't wait to see what was inside!

When I arrived home with the bag it did feel a bit like Christmas! Everything inside was so well thought out and varied, with products suitable for all kinds of folk. I felt well and truly spoilt and it's going to take me a while to get round to using all of the products I was given!
I loved the fact that there were both full size and trial size products to try out too. I'm a big fan of stashing small products for when we go away and as we're off on holiday soon, this couldn't have come at a better time!

So let's have a look at the bag and what was inside it!

There really was a bit of everything in there! From the most incredible colouring book (I'm going to write a separate post on this!) to sweet treats and heaps of beauty products.....

So let's crack on with some of my favourites so far!

One of my absolute favourite items was this gorgeous slate heart complete with the City Girls logo. It's a beautiful little souvenir from the day and I was super impressed to find out that it was made by Lorna herself!

I really love the bottle of Voss water. Seriously, have you ever seen such a stylish bottle of water?! It's a little bit special so I'm going to pop this in the fridge and save it for one of our long weekend dog walks as a treat!

I'm really into natural and organic products and hate using a lot of chemicals so I'm in love with this rose geranium lip balm by Nathalie Bond organics. I can't tell you how amazing this smells and it's such a joy to use. Contained in this pot are a heap of beautiful ingredients including nourishing jojoba and olive oils, soothing calendula and moisturising cocoa butter and scented with the most incredible scent of rose geranium essential oil. Delicious! I'd really love to try the candle version of this scent because it is so good!

I also wanted to share this shampoo and conditioner set which was added to the bag courtesy of Poundland! I've never come across these products before and thought they looked pretty expensive so I was really shocked to see they retail for £1 each! I've never used a budget shampoo or conditioner so I can't wait to try these out.

Next up is a gorgeous hand and nail treatment cream by Emma Hardie. This product is described as a luxurious three in one product that restores nails, cuticles and skin. I rarely stray from my beloved L'Occitane but I've been using this multiple times a day since I received it and I'm really quite impressed! It soaks in so easily and isn't at all greasy which is lovely for when you're busy. The smell is just incredible too, really fresh and invigorating!

Here's a look at some more of the beauty products I received. I'll be honest, I usually stick to my favourite brands (L'Occitane, Trevarno, Soap & Glory and Lush!) when it comes to skincare, bath and beauty so I've not tried any of these products before. I've packed a few away for my holiday though already and I can't wait to see how they perform. The 'Squeeky Clean' products are again courtesy of Poundland. I love their cute packaging and they smell really good!

Here are the products I received from Lush. The shampoo bar smells of cinnamon and is an absolute joy to use. It supposedly stimulates hair growth so I'm keeping my fingers crossed as I'm really trying to grow my hair! The 'Yummy Mummy' shower gel is the most delicious purple colour and smells divine. It's very fruity and sweet, so good I could eat it. The super huge bottle will keep me going for months, I'm sure!
Next up is the 'Sesame suntan lotion'. I really want to like this but I just can't get past the smell, it's very sesame-y(!) and maybe a little bit like peanut butter. One of the reviews on the Lush website says "I feel like a walking stir fry" and I can see exactly what they mean! Not one for me I'm afraid!
The fourth Lush product I got was a 'Rose Bombshell' bath bomb. Lush bath bombs are my absolute favourite and they are such a lovely little treat after a long day! This one smells amazing, i'll be using that one tonight!

Finally, the last product I wanted to share is the "Enchanted Forest" colouring book by Johanna Basford. Colouring is one of my top guilty pleasures and no Christmas is complete for me without a fresh book and new pens/paint! I've had the Secret Garden in my amazon wishlist for a while but the wait on it has been crazy so I was over the moon to get this. I'm going to write a separate post about this book as it's so lovely so I won't say any more about it for now!

So those are my favourite products from the goody bag so far! If you went to the City Girls event, which are your favourite products from the goody bag so far? Or maybe you've tried some of these before already? Let me know in a comment!
