The Weekend I Turned 30

On Saturday I turned 30. 30 feels so old! We had a lovely peaceful weekend which included trips into the peak district, meals out, a party and a morning pottering round the botanical gardens near our home followed by our increasingly too often habit of taking Taco Bell home for lunch (I'm addicted!). Saturday afternoon I even managed to squeeze in a nap whilst Miss E slept, a complete luxury for me nowadays!

Our morning dog walks round local parks when my husband has the day off are something I really enjoy at the moment. I love our little chats about things we want to do, places we want to go, being grateful for what we have and enjoying time together as a family. Now i'm 30, it's time to make things happen!

You can't just sit there and wait for people to give you that golden dream.
You've got to get out there and make it happen for yourself.

  1. Please don't say 30 sounds old... I'm 36 this year! Crazy stuff.

Anyway back to you and wishing you a happy birthday!

  2. Rebecca, firstly Happy Belated 30th! It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend spent doing the things you love as a family. And your cake looked beautiful.

Simon turned 30 in October - and he's not looked back since.
I think 30 symbolises a great passage - into real adulthood. It's a time where things are more secure, adjusted and certain.
I am with you 100% with grabbing life and making every opportunity into something brilliant.
You are an inspiration - your passion, creativity, love for your adorable family, and sense of adventure has always shone out to me x x x
