Yankee Candle "Greenhouse"

Regular readers will know how much I adore the true to life fragrances of Yankee Candle and recently I have been had the pleasure of welcoming the warmer weather at home by opening up those windows, making the most of being able to hang the washing out and burning some beautiful new scents.

A recent addition to my ever expanding collection is the Greenhouse large Housewarmer jar candle* which is available exclusively on for £19.99. I'm a huge fan of the similar scent Lucky Shamrock which I burn every spring so I was curious to see if Greenhouse would also please me!

Greenhouse is described as having the scent of "the heady perfume of delicate rose blossoms intertwined with spicy green herbs" and I really wasn't disappointed when this arrived in the post recently.

Upon removing the lid I was struck by how amazingly natural and fresh the scent of this candle is. If you close your eyes and inhale it is rather much like being transported into a country florist's shop, freshly watered and bursting with life on a warm summers day!
It really is just like a greenhouse in a jar, transporting me back to all those times I visited my dad's greenhouse in the summer to see how his tomatos, cucumbers and flowers were doing.

I have found that it's a great candle to burn in the bathroom or a room where increased humidity really brings out the authenticity of the scent. I also like to take this one out into the garden when we dine out there in an evening if it's warm.

The burn and scent throw of this candle is exceptional. I haven't tried mixing the scent with other candles yet but I anticipate that it would go nicely with other fresh or floral scents. I read somewhere that it goes well with Pink Sands so I can't wait to try that one out as this is another firm favourite of mine!

Greenhouse effortlessly encompasses the perfect mix of roses and herbs that I am certain that other candle brands aspire to create but never quite manage! It is the perfect summer candle and I am certain that I will be burning this lots over the next few months.

Yankee Candle large Housewarmer jar candles provide 110 to 150 hours of enjoyment and retail for £19.99 on the Yankee Candle website
