Yesterday I turned 29 and if you've been following me for a while you'll know that I share my birthday with my mum on st valentine's day! It was my first birthday as a mum myself, I can't tell you how amazing it was and how much I appreciated the small things on the day.... from Miss E delighting everyone with her coos and squeals to sleepy baby cuddles during the afternoon, it was all so lovely!
My husband brought me a Disneyland style breakfast in bed in the morning and after opening presents we all wrapped up warm and headed out in the snow to have lunch out in the Peak District. Afterwards we spent a relaxing afternoon at home before heading out for a party in the evening. I may have overdosed on cake and Miss E may have had so much fun she couldn't sleep at all the following night but it was great!
Here are a few photos from the day....
Stunning pink valentines roses from my husband!
My beautiful angel in her party outfit from the Little White Company c/o her great grandma!
As I share my birthday with my mum she always gets me my own special cake just for me!
A lot of my gifts had a Disney theme! The Lotso bear is for Miss E from my brother (an unbirthday present!)
Out for lunch at one of our favourite doggy friendly places in the peak district (I blogged about the cafe here)! Elsie made friends with a black labrador who was sat with his owner on the next table.... so cute!
Lunch.... followed by the most enormous slice of cake!
In the evening we had a party in which incredible amounts of food were consumed and of course, lots more cake!
My house is now filled with the many beautiful flowers I received, they are certainly cheering me up during this cold and rainy weekend!
Next year I turn 30, a very scary age indeed! I'm hoping to make the last year of my 20's the best one yet, bring it on!
