Bathroom Planning....

Our house came complete with the world's smallest bathroom which desperately needs gutting and replacing. Not being able to afford to do that as soon as we moved in has meant that we've had time to plan the bathroom of our dreams and not dive head first into something that we might regret later on.

I thought that it might be fun to document our progress on here from initial ideas to planning and from finding suppliers to the actual installation of the room. Hopefully, fellow bathroom planners and homeowners might find it useful in some way!

I have crazy plans for this teeny tiny room, including a painted roll top bath and a rainfall shower so please do join me on our bathroom journey!

  1. Ah, the second one reminds me of the bathroom in my old house... which makes me sad as the bathroom in my current house is tiny in comparison. Rx

  3. Dreaming and planning for your new bathroom must be a lot of fun! I love those claw foot tubs. And I love the wood floors in these bathroom photos. That isn't a very common feature in bathrooms here in the US.

  5. How exciting! I never imagined we'd fit a roll top in our bathroom, we spent many a happy hour in the gutted bathroom with duct tape marking off how much room we'd need and were overjoyed when we worked out it would fit with room to spare. x

  6. Thanks for another lovely comment :) I agree, it's so great to get something new from something old isn't it?

I love your bathroom plans, a roll-top bath - that would be heaven. Can't wait to see how you get on!

  8. Apologies for the slightly odd question but I'll be visiting the peak district this summer - staying in tideswell but will be visiting lots of places nearby - and was wondering if you wouldn't mind recommending lovely places to eat or any must visit places. We'll have dogs with us too so dog friendly places if possible! I've seen on here how much you love visiting the peak district so thought you would be one of the best people to ask :)

  10. You’ve got some interesting inspirations for your bathroom. Believe me; you can still do lots of things with a small bathroom. All you have to do is lessen the clutter. Also, use multi-functional appliances to save up storage space. What we all need is a clean and functioning bathroom in the first place.
