Birthday time!

I share my birthday with my mother on the 14th February, St Valentine's day..... a triple occasion!
We spent the morning having breakfast at the Chatsworth
farm shop restaurant which serves delicious home-cooked food made with local produce. It certainly kept us full all day too! We had a party in the evening with a buffet type meal.... all in all, a lovely relaxing day!

I wanted to share with you just a few of the gifts that were given on the day....

This beautiful Goldfinch print that my husband bought for me is by
Allison Trentelman. I am a huge fan of her work and intend to get some more prints because they are so beautiful and peaceful to look at. Please check out her etsy shop!

Birthday flowers.... I love the colours!

Part of my valentine's gift to my husband was a box (Cath Kidston vintage... see top pic, the print is resting on it!) filled with handmade goodies from York, books & sweet treats. I also got him these fabric love birds by Kirsty Elson on folksy.... we have a thing for birds, can you tell yet?!

My new necklace by Hultquist - Copenhagen .... I love the little bunny! I had never heard of Hultquist before but after checking out the website, I am in love! Everything is so wearable, unique and feminine!

Finally, I bought this cashmere bear last week from The Linen Cat on folksy.... I am a sucker for anything cute and soft! Beth Foster makes these gorgeous little bears as well as other softies, cushion covers, lavender bags and egg cosies.... everything is lovingly hand made and completely irresistable!

Thanks for reading! x

  1. Lovely photos, lucky you eating at the Chatsworth farm shop restaurant, the Duke of D owns the whole of the village I am from including 'our' family farm (my brother will be the 3rd generation tennant).

I love the photo, very beautiful and I know and admire all of Kirsty E's work. Thanks for your lovely words about TLC, always appreciated.

Hope it's the start to a great year for you and your Mum.
